The Team:

The Biomarkers & Assay Development team, which is embedded within the larger Tipping-Point Human Algorithms (T3) department, is currently looking for a (Senior) Researcher (Full-time). The T3 department supports the design of early-clinical trials and develops new strategies and tools for diagnostic and outcome measures. The Biomarkers and Assay Development team specifically focusses on the development and implementation of (molecular) biomarker outcome measures. We are looking for a candidate that has a passion for science and is willing to learn and grow with us in this exciting field. 

The Position:

In the position of (Senior) Researcher Biomarkers and Assay Development you will play a vital role in the development of (molecular) biomarker outcome measures for our early-clinical trials. Under the guidance of the Lead Biomarkers and Assay Development Scientist, you will help in translating the biomarker strategy for a given program into concrete actions. Next to these activities, you will also be involved with the management and organization of the company’s Biorepository. Your position will be at the level of (Senior) Researcher, depending on your experience.

Your responsibilities will include:

- Supporting the design, development, and qualification of (molecular) biomarker assays
- Performing laboratory work (e.g. protein-based assays, ddPCR, cell culture)
- Maintaining accurate record keeping of biological samples and data
- Contributing to data analysis, interpretation, and reporting
- Managing and maintaining contacts with vendors and collaborators
- Supporting the management and organization of the company’s Biorepository

Leiden, NL 

We expect our (Senior) Researcher Biomarkers and Assay Development to have:  

At least HBO/Bachelor’s degree, preferably in Life Science
At least 2 years of working experience in a Life Science environment 
Hands on experience with molecular biology techniques
High accuracy and quality awareness
