Recruitment Experience From application to onboarding
At ProQR we take care to give all applicants a good experience and value their time and interest in applying to become a ProQRian. On this page, you can find an overview of what you can expect throughout the recruitment process, until your first onboarding week.
Applying to join us at ProQR couldn’t be easier. If you are sending an open application or have found a vacancy that catches your interest and your skill set matches the role's requirements, simply send in your application by clicking on 'Apply' and follow the instructions.
Through the application process please fill in the mandatory forms and, at your discretion, please include any optional information that will help us get to know you better.
Once your application has been submitted, you will be informed about our feedback, either positive or negative, once the hiring team has reviewed it. In some cases where we receive a high volume of applications, this may take some time to review and respond. However, at ProQR we strive to do our best to come back to you as quickly as possible. During this review period, you will be able to see the state of your application on your created profile.
Interviews and reference check
In this section we will describe the process if you have had a successful application and we move forward with the recruitment process:
- Step 1: Introduction call with our Corporate Recruiter to learn more about ProQR and the position.
- Step 2: Meet your manager.
- Step 3A: Meet your ProQRian team members.
- Step 3B: In the meantime, the ProQR hiring team will perform a reference check.
- Step 4: If all of the above is positive, we will send you an offer letter.
If at any point in the process we realize that there is not a match and decide not to proceed further, we will inform you promptly by email or phone.
During my recruitment process I really saw the welcoming culture of ProQR. Now I take care to make aspiring ProQRians feel at ease in their interview.
Offer and signing!
In your offer letter you will receive all the details of the role package, this includes: the salary indications, bonuses, and benefits. Our Corporate Recruiter will schedule a phone call with you to further explain the offer and respond to any questions you might have.
If the offer is accepted, you will receive your contract and other documents needed to start your employment with ProQR. We will also send you the instructions for your first day so you will know what to expect and prepare accordingly.
We usually welcome new starters either on the 1st working day of the month or the 15th of the month (or the closest Monday if the 15th falls on a weekend).
On your first day, you will be welcomed by your manager and meet all your teammates for lunch together. You will have a tour of the facilities and receive your laptop and the tools needed for your role, including setting up all your accounts.
In your first month you will receive your onboarding training, meet your new colleagues, join our various company activities, have lunch with some of our management team, and dive straight into your new role with us.
