HR Manager

Our Human Resource department is currently looking for a Human Resources Manager (full-time) to join our team. 
The HR Manager is responsible for managing HR programs and policies and every aspect of employee development and relations. You are a key person in the human resources function of our organization and you’re responsible for the day-to-day management of HR operations. In addition to supporting growth, you will advise, support and implement tactical/strategic HR policies that support the business goals and drive strong employee engagement. With your HR experience in change management and expertise in cultural issues, you will be able to successfully implement these changes within the organization. Important HR themes you will work on, are: Leadership development, HR information system, Employee happiness and engagement, SOX compliance, Compensation and benefits benchmark. 

Your responsibilities:  

Identify, evaluate and resolve human relations, work performance, and organizational productivity concerns.
You and your team are responsible for internal communications and act as our point of contact for employees on all levels. 
Executing employee training and development programs.
Contribute/provide guidance to hiring, promotions, pay adjustments, performance reviews and development.
Manage the HR management and payroll system and provide managers with HR advice in order to help them in managing their employee resources.
Responsible for recruitment and retention of top quality employees for each department.
Create and implement compensation plans.
Ensure every aspect of human resources incorporates the vision, value/habits, and culture of the organization.
Contribute in leadership meetings and give input to leadership team in order to develop and discuss organizational HR related topics.
Manage external HR related vendors
You will work closely with the HR team that currently exists of 1 HR assistant, 2 HR Advisors, 1 Recruitment coordinator and one HR US consultant. You will report to the VP HR (currently an open position as well). 
Location: Leiden, NL 

We expect our HR Manager to have:  

have a Bachelor or Master’s Degree in the field of HR or Business Administration
have preferably 5 years of work experience in a similar role
have in depth knowledge of Dutch HR and US related legislation
have the ability to work in a fast-paced environment
be an experienced team leader and team player 
have influencing, leading, and delegating abilities
have critical thinking, decision making and problem-solving skills
be able to tell the difference between major and minor issues
be proactive and flexible attitude
be a strong communicator
be autonomous and coachable
be accurate and able to work under pressure
have excellent knowledge of Dutch and English both in word and writing
be a nice person : )
